Streamlining Template Updates: Overcoming Time-Consuming Challenges
Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 01:56amWe have several templates that contain too many input fields for accepting user inputs. Nowadays, we have a requirement to update the content of the document used in the template, even if it is a minor word change at the bottom section of the document.
The issue here is that if we attempt to modify the document, the entire settings, input elements, and so on will be removed from the template, requiring us to recreate the entire template again. This is a time-consuming task.
Is there any workaround for changing the document of a template without much troublesome work?

Thanks for your post! From your description, it sounds like using Layouts fits your scenario. The detailed steps could be:
(1)From the designer page, save the signatures and fields as a layout
(2)Remove and re-upload the document
(3)Apply the saved layout to the new document and adjust the fields position if necessary.
