Thank you, but the submission program I am using insists that signature fields be PDF. I did find a solution with that limitation though. Through experimentation that the signature fields generated by some PDF editors like PDFExchange Editor work, while the ones created by Foxit Phantom PDF editor do not, and that was causing my "some PDFs work and some don't" issue. I carefully checked all the parameters of each signature and I can not tell any difference - but obviously there is one. I really do appreciate your assistance though - normally that would be the absolutely correct thing to do.
