Form field overridden after signing and confirming the package
Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 12:14amWe are facing this issue intermittently in production.
We have a grid on our template which includes set of `Country Code` and `Phone Number` fields.
The issue is - after package is signed and completed, API call that returns document approval object, has Country Code populated with last 4 digits from Phone number field. But the PDF of the signed document has "1" populated in the Country Code (shown in the screenshot 1). Country code is an editable field and is populated with "1" by default.
Here's what we noticed in evidence summary - it shows "Form Feild" event after the package was signed and submitted (please see the red box in the screenshot 2).
Not sure why this event occurred when package should not be edited because it's already signed. Can you please give some directions?

Generally speaking, the "Form Field" event was recorded when signer clicked on the text field, changed the form value, and at the moment when text field lost focus.
That's to say:
(1)if a text field has a default value, simply click on the form and lose focus won't update the evidence summary because the value wasn't changed
(2)if signer has updated the text field several times, every previous values will be recorded.
Back to this extreme scenario, it's possible to reproduce the same behavior if I really changed the form field's value immediately after I clicked confirm button, the old value has already been stamped to the PDF, while the new value also be recorded in evidence summary. But since you mentioned that it's intermittently, do you have other package IDs that have the similar issue?

Thanks for the information! To better serve your request and keep the issue on record, I would suggest to fill in a support ticket ([email protected]) and have the issue reported. At the same time, for all these transactions, do you see the same behavior that there's one Country Code populated with last 4 digits from Phone number field?
