Remove Notary visibility on Smart Note

Hi Ryan, Yes, I've checked in backoffice and confirmed that the Smart Note was not set with visibility, so in this case, your notary will still see it.(From my test above, there's visibility for Smart Note document) One thing I noticed is, in your package, the smart note has an ID of "Smart_Note"(name of "Smart Note") while mine default ID is "enote" (both ID and name), did you reset them after package creation? Hi Ryan, Do you mean to prevent notary from seeing this document when notary's turn during notary signing? I did some quick tests on In-person signing, Notary Signing, SmartNote + Notary Signing and found out that visibility should take effect in all these three scenarios. To note, in the e-Mortgage + Notary signing scenario, I first created a package only with Smart Note uploaded, then invited notary, added notarization settings and extra documents, and removed the visibility of smart note, all separately. Check the screenshot attached, there should be a smart note at index 1, but the notary can't see it. Also, can you double check with your visibility settings and sent me a package ID? Duo

Duo - Yea, I mean that I want to prevent the Notary from seeing the Smart Note when it is their turn signing. These steps all happen at time of package creation through the REST API. 1. Build the package which contains the roles, documents, approvals, etc. 2. Notarization enabled and Notary ID are set at time of package creation 3. Documents are uploaded 4. Document Visibility is configured and uploaded When I go and do a pull on the document visibility through the API call, the Smart Note is not on the list. And as of right now I cannot attach anything to this post as the "Add another file" option just disappears when I try to use it. If you pull the package info on the Sandbox for "h4YWbHAs27XZTqpOgBjwVC_0_f0=", you should be able to see all items.

Duo, I looked through our process for creating the document visibility and it appears that we were filtering out the smart note when we were doing it. I've added it back in and made sure that there was no visibility for the Notary and that worked. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
