Signing order of multiple documents in a single bundle

0 votes

Hi folks,

I am curious in case I create a transaction that comprises multiple documents and to be forwarded to multiple signers(recipients) what option do I have for the following case"

  • To set a specific order of signing of the documents while it should comprise condition, for example, if the first document has not been signed you cannot continue with the next one. In other words, each subsequent document is contingent on the previously signed one.

Thanks

Hi Stoic,

Thanks for your post! If you have specified the document index (refer to the guide Creating a Document Work Flow), a signer won't be able to sign the subsequent document without signing the previous document. Let me know if it fits your requirement.

Hi DUO LIANG,

Appreciate your prompt response. In general, yes, that fulfills my requirement, however I was thinking that there is a built-in feature in the Product and not JavaScript implementation. NTW, do you know if Visibility feature will still properly work with this specified document index?

Also, how I can run this script? I mean, any UI I can use?

For both questions, yes.

-You can specify Document Visibility and Document Index at the same time

-If you create a transaction from UI (e.g. https://sandbox.esignlive.com/a/login) > New Transaction, all documents will by default be assigned a signing index, and you can drag and drop to adjust the sequence.

I see. So, what you are saying actually that the order of documents in transaction will dictate the order of signing. In other words, if there are two documents that should be signed than signing of the Document#2 shall be restricted until Document#1 is signed, correct?

That's correct!
